the shop was started by patriarch
Javier Rodriguez and still
produces fine rosewood

HUICHOL ARTi
Indigenous art
At Cafe Bahia or main beach

Indigenous people who mostly
live in the mountainous areas of
Jalisco and Nayarit, the Huichols
often visit Yelapa to sell their art.
Yarn paintings, bracelets and
objects decorated with colorful
beads, all using symbols and
designs dating back centuries.
Usually on the main beach
or at the Cafe Bahia by the pier.
