Go to Yelapa is a free service designed to keep you informed and make things easier for you. You don't have to become a member or sign up for anything. And there are no extra costs to make reservations or arrangements through us.
Rental reservations require a deposit to confirm, the amount of which depends on the provider. We accept PayPal from anywhere in the world, or direct bank deposits if you are already in Mexico.
I am Mexican, born and raised in Mexico City (Mexican mother & American father), and educated in a British Academy. Among other things, I was public relations director for a chain of high-end restaurants in Acapulco; reservations manager for various hotels; editor-in-chief for a newspaper in Acapulco; head of digital production for the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM); and Bengal tiger trainer & large species vet assistant. I am currently a freelance information architect & web developer; bilingual proofreader & copy editor; translator & consecutive interpreter; singer, nature photographer, and curator for the online platform of the Mexican National Committee for Biodiversity (CONABIO). I lived in Brazil, Acapulco and Cuernavaca; traveled in North America, Europe and the Middle East; and visited Yelapa every year since 1960 until 2003, when I fulfilled my own childhood prophecy to make it my permanent home. I speak Spanish, English, Portuguese and French, and I am re-learning the Lakota language.
